Back in 2018, I smoked (but did not formally review) Ted's Presidential Cigar that was produced to commemorate Donald Trump's first term as our 45th POTUS. We do not endorse any political candidate here on CigarCzars.com (especially one who does not smoke cigars), but whether you support him or not, Mr. Trump does deserve at least some respect after surviving that recent assassination attempt on July 13, 2024.
As for the Presidential Cigar, it is made in the Dominican Republic with a Connecticut Shade wrapper, Dominican binder, and a blend of Brazilian, Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos. The cigar measures 6 x 50, and comes sealed in a glass tube. They are sold in three-packs priced at $28 for the originals, or $31 for three of the new 2024 edition cigars.
Although I did not publish a review back in 2018, I still have my notes. At that time, I found Ted's Presidential Cigar to be a mild-to-medium smoke that was smooth and well constructed, but I experienced some intermittent sour flavors during the smoking session. It took me an hour to smoke the cigar down to two inches remaining. The cigar had a great draw, even burn and held a long ash.
In 2018, I rated Ted's Presidential Cigar with a somewhat mediocre 3.25 points on a a 5-point scale. In the final analysis, these are not really the types of cigars that you should buy for maximum smoking enjoyment, but rather to smoke at certain events/occasions or to give as gifts.
