Review of Punch Rare Corojo
25th Anniversary Cigar

By: Gary Manelski

Punch Rare Corojo 25th Anniversary cigars are Honduran puros made in Honduras with a Corojo wrapper and Corojo binder together with a blend of Habano and Corojo filler tobaccos. While previous releases were limited-edition cigars, both this new 25th Anniversary cigar and the original blend will now be available full-time. The new Punch Rare Corojo 25th Anniversary was released during March 2026 in one Toro size (6 x 54) priced at $10.99 per cigar. For more information about these cigars, please check out the press release.

The sample Punch Rare Corojo 25th Anniversary cigar had a sweet and spicy start for the first few puffs, then the flavor quickly changed to wood and spice without the sweetness. After about 15 minutes, hints of sweetness began to return when I ashed the cigar for the first time. The flavor then gradually improved a bit and the smoke became smoother during the next 20 minutes, when I ashed the cigar for the second time. During the rest of the smoking session, the flavors of wood, modest spice and subtle sweetness continued until the end.

During the 60 minutes that it took me to smoke the 25th Anniversary Toro from the start down to 1½ inches remaining, the cigar had a very good draw, held a medium-to-long ash, and burned mostly evenly and somewhat quickly in the beginning, but then later slowed down. No relights nor touch-ups were needed, and a slight but occasional uneven burn managed to correct itself.

I enjoyed the Punch Rare Corojo 25th Anniversary from start to finish, especially during the second third of the cigar. The blend and flavor are not the same as the original, but both blends are very enjoyable and worthy of the same very good rating of 4 points on a 5-point scale. Go ahead and compare for yourself, try them both!
