Mr. Punch by Punch Cigars are made in Nicaragua with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper and a blend of Nicaraguan fillers and binder. These cigars became available in July2026 in three sizes including a Toro (6 x 54) priced at $7.89 per cigar, which is the subject of this review. The sample Mr. Punch Toro cigar started off with a full earthy and naturally sweet tobacco flavor. After just a couple of puffs, hints of spice joined in. Within about 10 minutes, the taste of bread began to emerge. After another 10 minutes, the full earthy flavor tamed down a bit and became nicely balanced with the bread, with earth still being predominate. By the 45-minute mark, the flavors of earth and bread were evenly balanced, and were accompanied by lingering hints of spice and sweetness. The smoke was also noticeably smoother by this point, These same flavors then continued for the remainder of the smoking session, with the earthy taste gradually fading until the end.

The Punch Mr. Punch cigar was very well made and had a great draw, mostly even burn and held a long ash. I ashed the cigar three times during the 85 minutes that it took me to smoke down to 1½ inches remaining. Although no touch-ups nor relights were needed, I did apply one preemptive booster light at the 60-minute mark to keep the cigar burning adequately before it would have gone out.

Punch Mr. Punch Toro is a very good cigar with a taste that came very close to being superior during the middle third when the flavors of earth and bread became nicely balanced, and were also complimented by tastes of natural tobacco sweetness and hints of spice. Overall, this cigar was a bit better than very good and worthy of a 4-plus rating on a 5-point scale, making it a very good deal for seasoned cigar smokers at a price of $7.89 per stick. This cigar might be a bit too full for newbies, especially at the beginning (but it does smooth out later).
