Review of El Rey del Mundo Naturals Cigar

By: Gary Manelski

El Rey del Mundo Naturals are modestly priced cigars made in Honduras with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Honduran binder, and a blend of Honduran and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. These cigars became available in March 2022, with four sizes available ranging in price from $5.19 to $6.79 per stick. The vitola being reviewed here is the Robusto en Vidrio (5.5 x 50), which retails for $6.49 per cigar. For more information, please refer to the press release.

The sample El Rey del Mundo Naturals Robusto en Vidrio cigar began with a pleasant mild-to-medium bodied naturally sweet tobacco flavor, along with a very modest amount of pepper-spice. After a few puffs, a mild woodsy taste joined the mix and the smoke remained light and smooth. The flavor stayed pretty consistent until the end.

It took me 55 minutes to smoke the Robusto en Vidrio down to just 1½ inches remaining. The cigar was very well made and burned perfectly from start to finish. No relights nor touch-ups were needed, and the cigar held a medium-to-long ash. The cigar also had a very good draw.

Overall, the El Rey del Mundo Naturals cigar was enjoyable, though not very complex. It would make a great cigar for new and mainstream cigar smokers, and also for more experienced smokers looking for a change of pace and who like a variety. It is light enough to enjoy with a nice cold beer, such as a Landshark Island Lager. I rate the El Rey del Mundo Naturals Robusto en Vidro cigar with a good enough 3.5 points on a 5-point scale. Again, the cigar is very well made and the price is right.
